Meet Sumitomo Solder Termination Sleeves
Solder Termination Sleeves are utilized where a shielded cable needs a reliable, inspectable, one-step solder-and-seal termination. Industries served include commercial air, military aerospace, defense and high-volume commercial applications.

Design and Functionality
The outer heat-shrinkable jacket is a precision engineered high performance fluoroplastic sleeve containing an exactly measured amount of prefluxed solder that assures a perfect connection every time. Versions with pre-installed ground leads improve ease of handling by eliminating incorrect lead positioning, thereby further assuring a reliable, repeatable and inspectable connection.

Demanding Environments
Sumitomo Solder Termination Sleeves are manufactured to aerospace -grade SAE AS83519 and NAS 1744, 1745, and 1746 standards which ensure connections are completely insulated, encapsulated and strain relieved every single time. Properly applied solder sleeves are typically rated for continuous operation from –55°C to +150°C (-67°F to +302°F ) with extreme temperature rated versions available.

Available Configurations
Sumitomo Solder Termination Sleeves can accommodate wire diameters from 0.02” to 0.30” with the option of a preinstalled ground lead or braid conductors. Equivalent solder termination sleeves for Boeing, Gulfstream, Bombardier and Honeywell OEM requirements and M81824 specifications are available. A traceable Sumitomo certificate of conformance is included with each order.
